The Orgelakademie Stade
The Orgelakademie Stade e. V. was founded in 2002 as the Centre for the Promotion of Organ Culture in the Elbe-Weser Region.
Located in the historic area of the former duchies of Bremen and Verden, the Elbe-Weser triangle is home to more than 500 years of organ-building tradition. This region features over 80 remarkable historic organs, including instruments by the renowned organ builder Arp Schnitger. It is considered one of the richest and most diverse organ landscapes in the world, and continues to shape the region’s musical culture to this day.
The mission of the Orgelakademie Stade is to make this unique cultural heritage accessible to people of all ages. A special focus is placed on introducing children and young people to the fascinating world of organs and organ music.
