Portatives

A small portable organ called portative was used in the Middle Ages and the Renaissance at processions, but hardly for church purposes, although the portative is usually being played by angels in paintings. The two identical portatives of the Orgelakademie Stade were build by Gregor Bergmann from Leer and they have windows which make it possible to have a look at the inside and hereby help at understanding the functioning of the instrument.

On request one of the portatives of the Orgelakademie Stade can be lent in the Elbe-Weser region. The charge is agreed on individually.
